Commute Alternatives
The rideshare program of Monterey County, promotes the use of sustainable transportation options as a daily commute choice. The program assists individuals who live or work in Monterey County in finding an alternative to driving alone. Commute Alternatives also partners with employers to help them develop and implement alternative commute programs for their employees. (more)
Energy Watch
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) have partnered to deliver the AMBAG Energy Watch Program. AMBAG Energy Watch helps reduce energy use in our area. (more)
Metropolitan Transportation Planning
The Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for transportation planning activities in the tri-county Monterey Bay Region. (more)
Blueprint
AMBAG staff, Regional Transportation Planning Agency staff, and staff from all local jurisdictions in the Monterey Bay Area have been collaborating on developing a regional growth and conservation strategy called Envisioning the Monterey Bay Area. This effort, otherwise known as the “Blueprint,” focuses on improved mobility, accessibility and coordinated transportation and local land use that houses the region’s future population but also preserves the most important agricultural lands and conservation areas.
